报告人简介：

J.N. Reddy教授是美国工程院院士，中国工程院/印度工程院/加拿大工程院/巴西工程院/西班牙皇家工程院/欧洲科学院外籍院士，是国际上著名的计算力学专家，也是德州农工大学的杰出教授（Distinguished Professor，美国每所大学大约10名左右的教授能获此殊荣）、里根教授（Regents’ Professor）和Oscar S. Wyatt Endowed Chair荣誉教授。Reddy教授曾获得美国自然科学基金项目等共计66项，发表论文超过800篇，出版专著24部，是ISI 高被引学者。这些论文和书籍涉及了有限元方法及其应用、能量原理、变分方法、板和壳、复合材料、固体力学等方面。基于Reddy教授作出的突出贡献，美国、德国、英国等国家给Reddy教授先后颁发了许多荣誉和称号，如：美国奥克拉荷马大学第一个获得Award for Outstanding Faculty Achievement in Research的教授； 1984 ASCE颁发的 Walter L. Huber Civil Engineering Research Prize, 1985年维吉尼亚理工学院颁发的Alumni Research Award；美国机械工程学会（ASME）颁发的Worcester Reed Warner Medal （1992）和 Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award （1995），1997年美国工程教育学会颁发的 Archie Higdon Distinguished Educator Award ；美国复合材料学会颁发的 Excellence in the Field of Composites （2000）和 Distinguished Research Award （2004）；2011年被ASME评为the Honorary Member；2016年被授予Prager Medal和ASME Medal；2017年获Theodore Von Karman Medal；2019年被授予Timoshenko Medal；2022年被国际计算力学学会授予Gauss Newton medal等。
