许智文教授简介:

Prof. Hui research interests cover not only land and housing, but also real estate economics/finance and urban analysis. Prof. Hui is among top 2% of scientists in the world-- urban and regional planning (Source Stanford Study 2021). On the professional front, Prof. Hui had served/is serving: for example, Town Planning Board, Long Term Housing Strategy Committee and Securities and Futures Commission (REITs Committee), Building Appeal Tribunal, Housing Authority and Housing Society, Estate Agents Authority, Urban Redevelopment Authority. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Property Management Services Authority.

Part 1:

任志浩教授简介:

Prof. Michael Chi Ho Yam is the Head of Department of Building and Real Estate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prof. Yam received his BSc in Civil Engineering with Distinction from the University of Alberta, Canada, in 1986.  He pursued further study at the same University for his MSc and PhD. Prof. Yam joined the Department of Building and Real Estate of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a faculty member in 2002.

As a well-accomplished scholar in the field of civil and structural engineering, Prof. Yam is a Fellow of renowned professional bodies, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and The Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers (HKICM). Prof Yam is well-known for his research work in the areas of steel connections, high strength steel joints, application of shape memory alloy to steel structures and earthquake resilient structures. Prof. Yam is currently the Deputy Director and Executive Secretary of the Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction (Hong Kong Branch), which was established in October 2015 under the approval of the Ministry of Science and Technology, PRC, and is supported by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Dedicated to contributing towards quality education in Hong Kong, Prof. Yam was the auditor for the quality audits of sub-degree operations of the UGC-funded universities. He was the Chairman of the Building Division Committee of HKIE and is currently the Chairman of the Building Discipline Advisory Panel. In serving the Hong Kong community and the HKSAR Government, Prof Yam has taken up membership of various committees. He is currently the Deputy Chairman of the Home Purchase Allowance Appeals Committee Panel of the Development Bureau, a member of the Accreditation Advisory Board and a member of the Assessment Panel of the Public Policy Research Funding Scheme and the Strategic Public Policy Research Finding Scheme.

Prof. Yam is one of the recipients of the Commendation Merit Award of Structural Excellence Award from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in 2019. Most recently, Prof Yam as one of the team members has been awarded the Grand Award of the China Steel Construction Society “Science and Technology Awards 2022”.
