报告内容简介：

  Ocean Engineering is a high-risk industry due to challenges: 1) remote, harsh and complex sea environments; 2) uncertainties originated from inherent variabilities in physical phenomena (e.g. wave height) and limited knowledge; 3) high failure consequences. Ocean engineering aims at realizing human activities on seas safely and efficiently. My research is centered on developing approaches to quantitatively evaluate safety, risk and affordability of marine assets, so that the levels of safety and risk can be demonstrated and controlled. I have contributed to the field of ocean engineering by developing approaches to identify, quantify and mitigate risk with as low costs as possible, using the state-of-the-art analytical models, experimental techniques, numerical simulations and data analytics approaches. Below are my contribution areas, which are connected but differ in how uncertainty and risk are treated: 1) Deterministic and prescriptive structural design approaches; 2) Probability, reliability and risk based optimal design, inspection and maintenance approaches; 3) Real-time monitoring, learning, and intelligent engineering intervention decision making.

个人简介：

   邹广，玛丽居里学者，师从于JCSS主席 Michael Havbro Faber 院士（丹麦）。作为第一作者，发表论文23篇（单篇最高影响因子为5.04）及20多篇研究报告。拥有3项中国专列。参与了8个大型海洋工程项目，包含海上风电场，石油平台，船舶，海洋装备的研究，测试，设计，建造及生命周期管理。曾获第18届国际可靠性及结构安全会议最佳论文报告奖，第13届中船重工702研究所青年科技论文比赛一等奖。应邀在国际会议作学术报告11次，3次担任分会议主席。有5年英国著名工程咨询公司工作经历。
