报告摘要：

The study of liquid-filled conical tanksinvolved finite element development, buckling studies of unstiffened tanks and then stiffened steel tanks, seismic analysis and testing, concrete tanks, composite concrete steel tanks, development of design methods and structure optimization. This is a nice example for focusing on a subject and making an international impact.

报告人简介：

   Ashraf El Damatty教授，加拿大西安大略大学土木与环境工程系主任，首席教授，WindEEE实验中心主任，Wind &Structures总编；加拿大土木工程师学会理事；加拿大公共基础工程易损性协会会员；ASCE-74，输电线路结构负荷，成员，加拿大土木工程师学会钢结构分会创始人。
