报告摘要：
In this presentation, the mechanical properties for UHPC（Ultra High Performance Concrete）and research on UHPC joints for precast deck panels are reviewed. The design procedure for precast deck panels with UHPC joints and UHPC joint details are presented. Other non-conventional design such as semi-integral abutment on tall wall is also presented. Lessons learned from design and construction are discussed in this presentation.

David Liu is a Chief Structural Engineer and Structural Manager with TranSystems（the top 10 bridge design firm in US） in Chicago.
B.S. and M.S. from South China University of Technology, China. Ph.D. from Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York.
Registered structural engineer in Illinois and a registered professional engineer in 8 states.
Over 30 technical papers that have been published, presented or accepted by ASCE Journals, ASCE periodicals, seminars and conferences. Lead structural engineer for the $450 million Circle Interchange Project (joint venture with AECOM) in Chicago, Illinois.
