学术报告背景及内容简介:
    西班牙国际工程数值方法研究中心(简称CIMNE)是世界知名的数值方法研究中心,拥有世界一流的科研人员及科研成果。该中心开发的数值模拟前后处理软件GiD早在10多年前就被我国的许多单位采用。
    Kratos是CIMNE主导开发的多物理场数值仿真开源软件平台。Kratos平台内置了流、固、热、电、磁等多个模块,包含有限元、有限差分、离散元、颗粒有限元、无网格、自适应网格等多种数值方法及手段,内嵌了CPU(OpenMP及MPI)及GPU(OpenCL)等多重并行加速技术,可以实现大型复杂工程问题的快速、高效、并行求解。Kratos的优势在于,工程师、应用软件开发者、数值算法研究人员及数值模拟人员均可借助Kratos平台实现自己的目标。目前,Kratos开源软件平台以广泛应用于土木、机械、海洋、油气、水利、矿山等多个领域。
    Pooyan 博士是CINME的专职研究人员,是Kratos的总架构师,被称为 Kratos之父。他擅长于大型软件的架构及高性能计算程序的开发,同时在多物理场耦合分析的数值算法及超大规模数值结果的高效显示等方面有很深的造诣。
Pooyan博士本次报告的内容包括:
(1)Kratos的设计理念及总体架构;
(2)Kratos不同层次用户的使用方式及工程算例;
(3)基于Kratos快速生成工程应用软件(以商业软件Click2Cast为例);
(4)Kratos的GUI界面操作演示。

附1:Pooyan博士的英文简介
Pooyan Dadvand is a civil engineer with master in seismic engineering and Ph.D. in numerical methods in engineering. He is a researcher at the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE), associate professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and principal investigator in software development at Quantech ATZ.
He is an expert in high performance computing ad numerical methods for multi-physic problems.
He is the leader and main developer of Kratos Multiphysics which is an open source environment for the development of parallel multi-physics programs. In this position he directs the line of development in a multi-disciplinary team from different institutions in several countries. As a developer he is responsible for the core of the platform and focuses on developments that increase the performance of code on large machines.
As a professor of UPC has directed recently a Ph.D. student in meshing issue and currently directs two Ph.D. student on embedded solutions for coupled parallel problems and visualization of extremely large numerical results. He also teaches structure analysis to civil engineering students and also to the master students.
In Quantech ATZ he works as developer of Click2Cast solver. A software tool for mould filling problems where there are many complexities in fluid solution in interaction with thermal effect.
He has participated in many Spanish and European projects and currently he involves in following three european projects:
•RealTime  on calculation of high performance fluid.
•NUMEXAS on parallel computation in extremely large machines
•Simphonyin development of multi-scale computing environment
He speaks Persian as his native language and also speaks fluent English and Spanish


附2:Pooyan博士报告内容的英文介绍
An introduction to the Kratos design and structure will be given and its main applications and results will be presented. The objective of this part will be to give an overview of Kratos abilities and to describe different levels of users who may be interested on Kratos.
Kratos can be used to create industrial applications. The feature and advantages Kratos provides for complete industrial solutions will be point out and Click2Cast as a successful solution will be described.
Finally the GUI of Kratos will be described via an example and some references to the Kratos documentation will be given.
