主讲人简介:

Dr. Krishnakumar Shankar毕业于澳大利亚塔斯马尼亚大学，其后在加拿大多伦多大学和加拿大国家研究院从事了六年博士后工作，研究复合材料结构分析和测试。Dr. Shankar在新南威尔士大学国防军事学院(UNSW@ADFA) 拥有十五年的科研和教学经验，研究兴趣涉及Aircraft Structures, Structural Dynamics (Vibrations), Impact Mechanics, Composite Materials, Structural Health Monitoring and Finite Element Methods, 教学课程包括结构力学，复合材料力学和无损检测技术等。Dr. Shankar现为UNSW@ADFA工程和信息技术学院的Senior Lecturer 及Research Coordinator，主管该学院的科研合作事宜。

报告摘要:

The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is one of the Top 8 universities in Australia. Their excellent research in engineering has worldwide reputation. UNSW@ADFA is the Canberra campus of UNSW and is located at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). Dr. Krishna Shankar, who is from the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT) of UNSW@ADFA will give an overview of the latest achievements in structures and materials of the Advanced Composite Research Unit (ACRU) in UNSW@ADFA, for instance, the damage detection for composite structures, the design of offshore composite risers and so on.
