主讲人介绍:
潘巍教授任职于香港大学署理行政及财务副校长,土木工程系教授及博士生导师,建造及基建创新研究中心执行总监,模块组合建造实验室主任,以及零碳实验室主任。潘教授多年于中国、英国、新加坡等地从事可持续建设工程与管理的实践、科研与教学工作。并在多个学术团体,政府和业界机构担任专家、理事或顾问。潘教授的研究兴趣涵盖装配式建筑、模块组合建造、智能建造和可持续建造、零碳建筑、建筑能耗、生命周期评估、先进结构和创新材料等。潘教授累计主持参与超过等同1亿港币资助的多项科研研究项目。潘教授累计发表330余篇学术论文,荣获10项最佳论文奖,培养80余名博士后、博士生等科研人员。潘教授首先提出可持续建设系统辩证及系统边界理论,并运用于零碳建筑和装配式模块化建筑的理论和应用研究。潘教授于2015年获香港大学海外Fellowship,2019年获香港大学工程学院知识交流奖,2019年获评中国工程院中国工程前沿杰出青年学者。潘教授为英国特许建造师、英国特许环境师、英国高等教育院资深会士(Fellow)、香港工程师学会会员、香港零碳联盟发起人,兼任国际期刊Engineering Sustainability主编及多本国际期刊编委编委。潘教授于2020年获英国土木工程师学会Brunel奖章Highly Commended奖,2020年入选香港特区政府授勋名单,荣获特首社区服务奖,2022年荣获MiC杰出人物奖。
报告概要:
建筑和基础设施被广泛认为是推动经济增长和社会发展的重要驱动力。在香港,预计未来几年建筑业产值将达到3000亿港元。然而,许多经济体的建筑业面临严重挑战,如劳动力短缺、人口老龄化和成本上涨,这阻碍了生产率的提高和可持续性的发展。为应对这些挑战,各种创新方法被开发出来,比如模块化建造(MiC)以及低碳技术等。
本报告将首先介绍香港大学、土木工程系、建造及基建创新研究中心以及相关实验室;接着将介绍研究中心和潘巍教授的研究方向,比如模块化建造,建造信息化,和低碳技术等;最后将通过多个项目实例,分享香港大学建造及基建创新研究中心的最新研究成果。欢迎广大师生参与交流分享。
Innovation in Construction and Infrastructure Development
Abstract:
Construction and infrastructure are widely recognized as significant drivers of economic growth and social development. In Hong Kong, the annual construction output is expected to reach HK$300 billion in the coming years. However, construction industries in many economies face significant challenges such as labor shortages, an aging workforce, and cost escalation, which impede efforts to enhance productivity and sustainability. In response, innovative approaches have been developed such as modular integrated construction (MiC) and low-carbon technologies.
The workshop will first introduce The University of Hong Kong, Centre for Innovation in Construction and Infrastructure Development (CICID) and the various labs supervised by Prof Pan. We will then introduce the three major research areas focused by CICID and Prof Pan’s research group, i.e. smart construction, MiC and low/zero carbon technologies. The innovations and technologies will be illustrated using various real-life projects. The workshop will also explore the prospective development of innovation by sharing the latest research and development led by HKU CICID.
About the speaker:
Professor Wei Pan is Acting Executive Vice-President (Administration and Finance) of The University of Hong Kong (HKU). He is also Executive Director of HKU Centre for Innovation in Construction and Infrastructure Development (CICID), Director of Net Zero Laboratory and MiC Laboratory, and Professor in Construction Engineering and Management at Department of Civil Engineering of HKU. Professor Pan is specialised in smart and sustainable construction engineering and management. His research interest covers modular integrated construction (MiC), prefabrication, construction automation and robotics, smart and sustainable infrastructure, net zero carbon, and lifecycle assessment. Professor Pan has attracted over HK$100 million research funding from a number of organisations. He has authored over 330 publications and supervised over 80 doctoral and post-graduate researchers. He is Editor-in-Chief of the international journal ICE Engineering Sustainability and sits on the editorial board of a number of international academic journals. Professor Pan was awarded Distinguished Young Investigator of China by the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2019. Professor Pan is Top 1% worldwide by citations by Clarivate Analytics, and World’s Top 2% Scientists Released by Stanford University. Professor Pan is a Chartered Builder, a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. His career is supported by 28 years of working experience in academia and practice internationally including the UK, Singapore, Mainland China and Hong Kong in building design and engineering, construction project management and innovation, and strategic management. Professor Pan was awarded in the 2020 Honours List of the HKSAR for his outstanding contribution to fighting the COVID-19, MiC Outstanding People Award in 2022.
