报告人简介：

  Bin Liu received his bachelor of engineering(1st Class Honours) and master of engineering degrees at the NationalUniversity of Singapore, Singapore in 2002 and 2004, respectively, andcompleted his doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota, USA in 2011. Afterspending a year as postdoctoral fellow in the University of CaliforniaBerkeley, USA, he joined School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering atNanyang Technological University as an Assistant Professor in June 2012 and waspromoted to Associate Professor in March 2017. In February 2023, Professor Liujoined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at City Universityof Hong Kong as a Global STEM Professor and was promoted to Chair Professor ofElectrocatalysis in 1st July 2026. His research focuses onphoto(electro)catalysis and in-situ/operando characterization. Professor Liuwas awarded emerging investigator by Journal of Materials Chemistry A, RoyalSociety of Chemistry in 2016, class of influential researchers by Industrial &Engineering Chemistry Research, American Chemical Society in 2018, and listedin the “Highly Cited Researchers” in Cross-Field in 2019 and Chemistry in2020-2025 by Clarivate Analytics. He has published more than 300 researcharticles including Nature, Science, Nature Chemistry, Nature Nanotechnology,Nature Catalysis, Nature Energy, Nature Sustainability, Nature Water, NatureChemical Engineering, Nature Reviews Chemistry, Nature Communications, ScienceAdvances, Chemical Reviews, Chemical Society Reviews, Joule, Chem, PNAS,Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie InternationalEdition, Advanced Materials, Energy & Environmental Science, etc.
