time: 2022-04-22

On April 14, Elsevier, a global leading information and analytics company, announced its 2021 list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers. The list, covering 84 first-lever disciplines in 10 subject areas defined by the Ministry of Education, include the most influential Chinese scholars from 319 institutes of higher education in 2021. Prof. ZHANG Weiguo and Prof. ZHOU Yongwu from SCUT School of Business Administration were among the 102 selected scholars in Management Science and Engineering, which makes Prof. Zhang appear on the list for the third consecutive time and Prof. Zhou twice in a row.

The list uses Scopus, a global authoritative citation and index database, to track the Chinese researchers’ scientific research achievements, and adopted the methodology designed by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. A total of 4,701 China-based scholars from 523 universities, enterprises and research institutions were named on the 2021 list.
