The Master of Engineering (ME) of South China University of Technology was launched in 2001. In the past 17 years, the Program has graduated nearly 2,500 students who have become a core strength in such important industries as engineering and construction, manufacturing, IT communication, electric power, and logistics etc. in South China.

Emphasizing the application of engineering, the SCUT ME program cultivates high-caliber technology management talents who know both technology and management by combing engineering with liberal arts. Dedicated to build the most competitive master degree program in engineering in South China, the Program has focused on the core knowledge system of the subject and kept on innovating in teaching for years, and a talent training model with SCUT characteristic and closely connected to the local economic development has been established. In 2011, SCUT ME program in Industrial Engineering was one of the first batch of program who won the title of National ME Education in Specialized Engineering Fields.

To better serve enterprises and give back to the society, School of Business Administration actively co-operates with enterprises in education and cultivates talents in light of the actual needs of the production and operation of the enterprise. Since 2002, ME program has successively kicked off classes in cooperation with many large-sized enterprises in South China, such as Maoming Petrochemical, Zhanjiang Electric Power, Shaoguan Steel Group Company, Yunfu Electric Power, Foshan Public Holdings, Fenghua Hi-Tech, Dongguan Xinke, and CIMC, and vigorously promoted the rapid development of enterprises in the region.
