曼彻斯特大学简介

曼彻斯特大学，简称曼大，拥有近200年的历史，是一所门类齐全、学科种类众多的综合性英国顶尖老牌名校，也是英国以重要工业城市命名的六所红砖大学及享有盛誉的罗素大学集团成员之一。曼大以创新研究作为主导教学思想，在过往以及现有的教职员工和学生中，这里共诞生过25位诺贝尔奖得主，2010年，曼彻斯特大学的两位教授安德烈.海姆和康斯坦丁.诺沃肖洛夫就因石墨烯研究方面的成就获得当年诺贝尔物理学奖。
2021年的QS世界大学排名，曼大位列第27，在泰晤士高等教育（THE）发布的2020年世界大学影响力排名中，曼大排名全球第8，全英Top1。

曼大材料系

曼彻斯特大学材料系，是欧洲最大的材料工程学院，也是欧洲最大的材料科学研究和教学中心，在材料学领域的科研实力强劲。曼大的材料科学学科处于世界领先地位，在2020QS世界大学材料科学学科排名上名列第28位（英国第4位）。

学院的所有材料科学课程均获得英国材料、矿物和采矿学会(IOM3)的认证，院内拥有装备精良的实验室、教室和先进的科研设备，并且与其他研究机构密切合作，涉及不同的研究领域，如航空航天和核能。作为石墨烯的故乡，学院直属拥有全欧洲最大的国家石墨烯研究中心(National Graphene Institute)，同时拥有世界顶尖研究员的英国国家级材料科学研究创新中心―亨利・罗伊斯研究中心(Henry Royce Institute)等。

与华工合作联培项目介绍

我校材料科学与工程学院（先进材料国际化示范学院）与曼彻斯特大学材料学院于2020年签订学生联合培养协议，面向我校材料学院所有专业招收学生。学生参与项目，达到毕业要求，可以获得华工和曼大相关学位。项目包括：

  2+2双学士项目             

2+2模式的学生在华工完成两年材料专业的学位课程后转入曼彻斯特大学，在成功完成曼彻斯特大学的两年课程并达到曼大、华工取得学士学位的所有要求后，可同时获得曼彻斯特大学以及华南理工大学的学士学位。

Students of the SCUT admitted to the second year of one of the UoM’s Programmes shall, subject to completing the remaining two years of study in accordance with the examination rules of UoM, graduate with the degree of Bachelor of Science in that subject from UoM (2+2). Upon successfully completing Year 4 in the UoM’s 2+2 program and all requirements for the Bachelor Degree from SCUT, students receive a Bachelor Degree in their chosen major from SCUT.

2+3本硕连读学位项目       

2+3模式的学生在华工完成两年材料专业的学位课程后转入曼彻斯特大学，在成功完成曼彻斯特大学的三年课程后，可获得曼彻斯特大学的硕士学位。同时，在曼大完成第4年学习并达到华工取得学士学位的所有要求后，可获得华南理工大学的学士学位。

Upon successfully completing Year 4 in the UoM’s 2+3 program and all requirements for the Bachelor Degree from SCUT, students receive a Bachelor Degree in their chosen major from SCUT.

3+2本硕连读学位项目             

3+2模式的学生在华工完成三年材料专业的学位课程后转入曼彻斯特大学，在成功完成曼彻斯特大学的两年课程后，可获得曼彻斯特大学的硕士学位。同时，在曼大完成第4年学习并达到华工取得学士学位的所有要求后，可获得华南理工大学的学士学位。

Students of SCUT admitted to the third year of UoM’s Programme shall, subject to completing the remaining two years of study in accordance with the examination rules of UoM, graduate with the undergraduate degree of Master of Engineering from UoM (3+2). Upon successfully completing Year 4 in the UoM’s 3+2 program and all requirements for the Bachelor Degree from SCUT, students receive a Bachelor Degree in their chosen major from SCUT.

选拔要求

1.专业要求：材料学院所有专业均可申请

2.学业成绩：大一、大二学年核心课程平均分不低于75分

3.英语要求：雅思平均成绩6.0以上（写作单项不低于6.0，其余单项不低于5.5）；也可接受托福或PTE对等成绩

4.面试：申请者需通过曼大材料系教授面试

5.经济要求：每个学生需有足够的资金来支付他们在英国的生活费用，生活标准可于曼大官网查询。Each student is expected to have sufficient funds to cover their living expenses in the United Kingdom. Information and details of typical living expenses in the United Kingdom will be made available on UoM’s website: www.manchester.ac.uk.

学费要求

参加2+2，2+3，3+2项目的学生在曼大的两年或三年学习中，应直接向曼大支付该校学费（华工学生可获得20％的学费减免）。学生需在注册时支付学费，学费标准等详细信息可在曼大官网（www.manchester.ac.uk）查询。

Students of SCUT enrolling for the second and third years of the Programmes provided by the Department of Materials at UoM shall pay UoM’s standard annual overseas student tuition fees, less the discount, directly to UoM in accordance with UoM’s registration arrangements in place at that time. The overseas tuition fees will be subject to annual review.

UoM will offer a discount of 20% of the standard annual overseas tuition fee to students of the Programmes. Tuition fees are due at the student's registration, details of the annual overseas tuition fees will be made available on UoM’s website: www.manchester.ac.uk.

初审及面试

报名资料通过曼大审核后，学院会安排学生与曼大材料系相关教学负责人进行视频面试，主要考察学生的专业知识能力、环境适应能力、独立性等。

面试后事宜

最终通过曼大面试的同学需登录学校国际交流与合作处网站海外学习栏目，用学校统一认证账号登录并进行线上报名。

其他说明

1. 在华工就读期间，仅缴纳华工学费；在曼大就读期间，仅缴纳曼大学费。

2. 学分互认：学生所修课程内容与学校教学计划课程相同或相近的，按学校教学计划规定课程学分认定；学校无相应课程的，按通识教育课程学分认定。具体学分互认规定可参考《华南理工大学全日制本科生交流课程学分、学位管理细则》（参见学生手册）。

3. 项目年级限制：19级（大二）目前可报2+2，2+3项目，大二学年结束前往曼彻斯特大学继续学习；18级（大三）可报3+2项目，大三学年结束前往曼彻斯特大学继续学习。

注：17级学生可直接在曼彻斯特大学官网申请攻读硕士，无需通过学院。
