报告人简介：Nora M. Dempsey carried out her PhD at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland before moving to the CNRS in Grenoble as a Marie-Curie post-doctoral fellow.  She is now a senior staff scientist at Institut NEEL, specialising in the study of functional magnetic materials, with an emphasis on hard magnetic materials.  Her interests range from using films as model systems to study material properties to developing micro-scaled magnetic structures for use in micro-systems, with an emphasis on life science applications. She has co-authored over 80 papers and 5 patents, and has strong links with a number of academic and industrial partners.
