报告摘要：
       DPI was founded in 1997 as Public-Private Partnership. It is an unique instrument linking (public) scientific knowledge and technology in the area of polymers to the industrial need for innovation. The 37 multinational industrial partners and 36 prestigious academic partners are connected within pre-competitive projects, which receive funding and support from the Dutch Government as well as from the European Union.
       The research within DPI is characterised by a multi-disciplinary chain-of-knowledge approach, covers more traditional polymers like polyolefin as well as advanced polymers for artificial joints, flat displays and plastic electronics, and combines scientific excellence with innovative impact in the industry.
       In order to stimulate innovation and realize technology transfer, DPI set up a sister organisation DPI Value Centre. Together, they create added value for polymer science and technology; more important of all: for the society.
