个人简介：
Tim Kindberg is a computer scientist and creative technologist, and founder at social video platforms Vorb (http://vorb.me) and Nth Screen (http://nthscreen.tv). He is based in Bristol's Pervasive Media Studio. He has been visiting professor of computer science at the University of Bath and ITU Copenhagen. His 17 years’experience of industrial R&D in mobile and pervasive computing includes 4 years in Silicon Valley and 7 years recently working as an independent. He has collaborated with filmmakers, theatre companies and other arts clients. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Westminster and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.Tim is currently teaching in the Department of Material Science at South China University of Technology.
In this talk, Tim will outline the work of the Pervasive Media Studio, which is a unique kind of Tech/Arts collaboration space where he was research director. Its name reflects the goal of investigating and promoting creative applications of Pervasive (also known as Ubiquitous) Computing. He will give several case studies of his own work, principally the new social video platforms he has been working on. The talk will be of interest for those in either the technology or creative sectors.
