Hongwei Ma

Introduction:

Dr. Hongwei Ma is currently an associate professor in South China University of Technology.  He received his Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in 2003.  He moved to Solid Mechanics Laboratory in Inha Univ. of S Korea to take up a Brain Korea 21 project funded postdoctoral fellowship from 2006 to 2007.  He was awarded four PRC or international patents on the steel structures. Moreover, he succeeded in initiating a research project to explore the civil engineering applications of SMAs.  His recent research interests include steel structures, smart material and structures, finite element analysis.
