2011-present: Professor and doctoral supervisor, in Department of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, South China University of Technolegy.

1997-2010: College of Science and Technology, Hainan University, Worked as an associate professor and professor (2000).

1988-1997: Department of Shipping and Ocean Engineering, Wuhan Transportation University, Worked as an associate professor (1994).

 1983-1988: Worked as a research engineer in China Ship Science Research Centre, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province China.


Honors and Awards

Won one first prize and two three prize of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, one second prize of Ministry of communications Science and Technology Progress Award.

In 2002, awarded “Special Subsidy for Expert” by The State Department.  

In 2003, got the honor of “The Famous Teacher of Hainan Province”.

Taken charge of two research projects sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China: 1)Study on high durability members of FRP- reinforced concrete in offshore and marine environment50868004, 2)Study on dynamic characteristics of offshore wind power floating foundation51049010. Taken charge of two CNOOC technology project: 1)Technical support for design and installation of underwater manifold system, 2)Application research on fatigue crack assessment technology of jacket platform.  

Take part in two special research projects of High-tech ship and Marine engineering equipment sponsored by Ministry of industry and information technology of China: 1) Design of underwater production system and research and development of key equipment, 2) Study on three dimensional wave load prediction and structural response analysis of trimaran.
