Sponsored Research Assignment Opportunities in Europe

  Trinseo, a global leader in binder technology, is financing research projects at Abo Akademi University in Finland (http://www.abo.fi/public/en/). The program aims to sponsor one or two students in SCUT (South China University of Technology) to participate into a research project and/or M.Sc. study at this world-famous institute.
  Details of the project:
Starting time: Early 2016 is preferred but later start could be considered for an exceptional candidate
   Duration: 10-22 months
Place: Abo Akademi University, Finland
Funding:  the research projects are supported by Trinseo – a global materials company; student will receive a salary during the project period to study and live in Finland.
Project: project will focus at new materials development based on cellulose and other related topics.
Format: selected student will go to Abo Akademi under the student exchange agreement between Abo Akademi and SCUT.
No. of candidates needed: 1 or 2.
Qualifications:
  Master or PhD student, ideally at least 1 year before graduation.
  Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  Certificate of skills in English: this should ideally be TOEFL, IELTS or some other internationally recognized test. (see Page 16,

  Official transcript of study records: both BSc, and MSc so far (if this applies). Need to be in English.
