　　Biomass is getting more attractive when facing the exhausting fossil energy. Besides the superstar “bioenergy”, the direct application of value-added biobased products instead of petroleum-based plastic products is another fascinating alternative solution for exhausting petroleum. The development of cellulose-based products is a substantial support for the biofuel industry because the current biorefinery processes always produce some solid residue which is mainly consisted of cellulose and lignin. In this presentation, we will summary recent researches in the following areas: 1). Cellulose fiber reinforced polymer composite and its nano-scale interphase characterization; 2). Cellulose nanofiber manufacture and characterization; 3) Cellulose nano composites.
