　　Introduction of Prof. Martin Hubbe：
　　In 1986 Dr. Hubbe accepted employment at International Paper's central research facility, where he led product development projects, systems to minimize color differences among mills at different locations, implementation of wet-end chemical strategies, and a corporate-wide training program in wet-end chemistry.
　　In 1998, Dr. Hubbe joined the department at NC State as the first Buckman Distinguished Scientist. In this role he is charged with the development of a new program of education and research in the area of wet-end chemistry.
Dr. Hubbe is currently Chair of the TAPPI short course titled "Introduction to Wet-End Chemistry." He also maintains an extensive website devoted to the subject.
