The School of Business Administration Successfully Re-accredited by AACSB

The School of Business Administration (the School) of South China University of Technology (SCUT) has been officially notified by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) that the School has been successfully accredited by the Continuous Improvement Review Committee of AACSB and approved by the Board of Directors. Following initial accreditation in 2019, the School has again achieved full accreditation following a rigorous review process by the AACSB business accreditation.

From 22-24 September, an AACSB reaccreditation Peer Review Team (PRT), consisting of Dayle M. Smith, Dean of the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University; Eli Pilanvin, President of Ecole de Management de Normandie; and Ye Xin, Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Dalian University of Technology, visited the School for a three-day on-site review.

AACSB Re-accreditation PRT Review at the School

During the on-site review, the PRT held nine in-depth discussions and meetings with representatives of the school's management, faculty, students, alumni and administrative staff. The PRT comprehensively assessed various aspects of the school, including its development strategy, faculty development, academic programmes, Assurance of Learning (AoL) system, talent development, academic research and social impact. The PRT experts also carefully reviewed relevant supporting materials and highly praised the school's achievements in recent years, particularly in publishing high-level research, integrating research with practice, engaging in social service and cultivating high-quality talents. The experts also made valuable suggestions for the school's future development and continuous improvement.

In the final part of the on-site review, Li Weiqing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University and Vice President of SCUT, Gao Ying, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of SCUT, and Huang Fei, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges of SCUT, met with the experts to hear their feedback. Vice President Li thanked the experts for their hard work and positive evaluations and reaffirmed the University's continued support for the School of Business Administration in terms of disciplinary development, talent team building and resource allocation. She also looked forward to the AACSB experts' continued guidance and attention to the School's development.

Since its initial AACSB accreditation in 2019, the School of Business Administration has been committed to continuous quality development to maintain world-class educational and management standards. The successful re-accreditation is due to the strong support of the University and the collaborative efforts of all faculty, staff and students. The School will continue to be guided by its mission and vision, using international accreditation as a means to enhance its educational standards and international impact, and to drive high quality, innovative development.
