SBA SCUT – CiMET Academic Forum Held in SCUT

Co-sponsored by the School of Business Administration of South China University of Technology (SBA SCUT), the Research Center of Chinese Corporate Strategic Management of SCUT, and the Italy’s National University Centre for Applied Economic Studies (CiMET), the forum themed “Italy and China: Industry, Culture and Innovation” was successfully held at SBA of SCUT on June 26, 2023., Presided by Huang Manli, Associate Dean of SBA, the 2nd edition of the SBA SCUT – CiMET Academic Forum brought together experts, scholars, and postgraduate students from SCUT and South China Normal University.


At her opening speech, Huang Manli acknowledged the significance of this forum for fostering close and friendly exchanges between SBA and CiMET, and expressed her sincere gratitude to all the experts, scholars, and postgraduate students for their active participation in the event.

The forum featured a keynote speech by Professor Marco R. Di Tommaso, invited guest speaker from the University of Bologna and the CiMET, who provided insightful analysis on the relationship between government and the sustainable development of industry clusters. His speech brought profound inspiration to the attendees. Prof. Lan Hailin from SBA, the guest speaker in the dialogue session, made insightful comments on Prof. Di Tommaso’s speech and delivered closing remarks of the forum.

At the end of the forum, Huang Manli, together with the attendees, reviewed SBA’s long-standing collaboration with Prof. Di Tommaso and his team. She highly praised his outstanding contribution to promoting close and friendly cooperative relationship between SBA and CiMET. On behalf of the school, Huang Manli presented Prof. Di Tommaso with the appointment letter of Guest Professor of SCUT.
