
Meeting Scene
On the afternoon of March 5, the School of Economics and Finance of South China University of Technology held the first all-faculty meeting of the spring 2026 semester in the Lecture Hall on the 1st floor of Building B10, University Town Campus. The meeting aimed to outline key priorities for the new semester and to conduct a special session on cybersecurity awareness and professional ethics. Attendees included Dean Sun Jianqiang, Vice Deans Xu Feng and Chen Zhenxi, Executive Vice Dean Ke Ning, along with all faculty and staff members. The meeting was chaired by Niu Jia, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the School’s Discipline Inspection Commission.

Dean Sun Jianqiang Delivers Work Deployment
The School’s leadership team presented the work plan for the new semester at the meeting. Dean Sun Jianqiang delivered a report on the School’s 15th Five-Year Plan, comprehensively reviewing the achievements made during the 14th Five-Year Plan period in key areas such as discipline development, talent cultivation, and scientific research. He also outlined the key tasks and objectives for the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Vice Deans Xu Feng, Chen Zhenxi, Ke Ning, and Deputy Secretary Niu Jia presented detailed plans for their respective areas, including undergraduate education, postgraduate training, research management, international cooperation, Party building, and student affairs.

Dean Sun Jianqiang Delivers Thematic Education Session
Following the work deployment, Dean Sun Jianqiang conducted a special training session for all faculty and staff on cybersecurity literacy and teacher ethics. He emphasized that all teachers must stay committed to their educational mission, strictly abide by professional ethics, and actively avoid academic misconduct and improper behavior. He encouraged all teachers to strive to become teachers with strong ideals, moral integrity, solid expertise, and a caring commitment to students. He urged teachers to uphold integrity in both words and actions, and to serve as role models for students in classroom teaching, academic research, and teacher-student interactions. Together, they should foster a positive and ethical academic environment and contribute to the continued development of the School through practical efforts and tangible results.
