The Master of Finance program at South China University of Technology (SCUT) commenced enrollment in 2011, ranking among China's first institutions authorized to confer this degree. Designed to cultivate high-caliber, application-oriented financial professionals, the program equips students with a solid foundation in economic, financial, and accounting theories, while fostering innovation and practical skills for real-world financial careers. The two-year program (4 semesters) combines coursework, professional practice, and a thesis. A dual-mentor system (both internal and external advisors) is implemented during studies. Currently offering five specializations: Portfolio and Risk Management, Financial Product Design & Pricing, Financial Institution Management, Corporate Finance, and Fintech. Graduates typically join financial institutions and regulators in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including banks, securities firms, and fund management companies.
