Delegation of Deakin University visits SCUT

A delegation from Deakin University, Australia, paid a vist to SCUT’s campus on January 17 to discuss a number of cooperative issues.

The guests were led by John Molony, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University, and were received by Liu Qijin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC SCUT Committee, at the Shaw Building of Humanities

After learning each other university’s basic situation and strong points, including SCUT’s progress in building the Guangzhou International Campus, representatives of the two universities shared an expectation of developing collaboration in scientific research, faculty and student exchange, as well as technology transfer.

Links between SCUT and its partners in Australia have being growing rapidly in recent years. Established in 1974, Deakin University is a young institution full of vigor and innovation. It is well known for its academic strengths in sport sciences and nutrition sciences, while it also features teaching and research in finance, accounting, big data, cyber security, and business data analysis.
