Supported by China Exhibition Economy Institute, Pan-Pearl River Delta Cities Exhibition Alliance and SCUT, the 2nd Sino-Foreign Exhibition Forum was held in SEC from Nov. 16 to 17. Six theme activities, focusing on exhibition development in new era, were initiated in the forum.
Tao Shaojing, deputy secretary of CPC SCUT committee, was present on the forum and delivered welcome address. She pointed out that it was SCUT’s 62nd school day when the forum was unveiled. On behalf of CPC SCUT committee, she expressed warm welcome to the honorable guests from various circles and sincere gratitude to the people who always paid much attention on SCUT’s development. She introduced SCUT’s development and the history of liberal arts in SCUT. She indicated that under the direction of “One belt and road” strategy, the exhibition industry was full of expectation and vitality and she also hoped that elites in the field of exhibition could work hard together to accelerate the development of exhibition.
In the main part of forum, experts in exhibition industry gave keynote speeches on the internationalization of exhibition in China. They all considered that exhibition industry should forge domestic brands which had strong competitiveness internationally and operate the international integration model to speed up the development.
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Cooperation and Development Summit, which was one of the theme activity in the forum, was held on the morning of Nov. 17. Zhao Min, secretary of CPC SEC committee, was present at the summit and gave welcome speech. He figured out that the summit brought precious chance for SEC to develop and wished the forum be more and more successful. Then professor Jiang Jinbo, associate dean of SEC, along with other experts from Sun Yat-sen University and other institutes made keynote speeches.
During the forum, the awarding ceremony of collaboration innovation research base of Pan-Pearl Delta Cities Exhibition alliance and the prize-giving ceremony of 2017 China City Conference and Exhibition Association Alliance were launched. SEC was selected as the collaboration innovation research base and was awarded “award for cooperation and support”. More than 250 experts around the country attended the 2nd forum.
