In order to improve the development of discipline of applied economics, e-commerce and logistics engineering and have a deep understanding of Ph.D. candidates’ research achievement and life, SEC launched the first Ph.D. Tea Salon in B10 on September 14. The theme of the salon concentrated on “how to apply the knowledge to benefit the whole society and people”. Professor TIAN Qiusheng, deputy dean of SEC, Mr. YANG Yiren, the deputy party secretary of SEC, along with other faculty and dozens of doctors attended the salon. At the beginning of the salon, Mr. Yang gave kind regards from Professor WU Yechun, assistant to the President of SCUT and party secretary of SEC and Professor WANG Renzeng, executive dean of SEC, to all attenders.
In the salon, every candidate proposed their ideas on research and suggestion on SEC’s development. Professor TIAN and Mr. Yang responded positively and promised that SEC would give strong support for them. They also hoped every Ph.D. candidate could try their best to contribute to SEC’s development. It’s learned that SEC Ph.D. Tea Salon is a brand academic activity for Ph.D. candidates, aiming to enhance the intercommunication among Ph.D. candidates and boost the development of the inter-disciplines.
