On Dec.17, CHEN Bin, assistant professor with Tenure, from Economic Department of University of Rochester visited SEC, giving an academic lecture on “Nonparametric Testing for Smooth Structural Changes in Time Series and Panel Data Models”. More than 70 faculties and staffs attended the lecture. Professor WANG Renzeng, executive dean of SEC, hosted the lecture.

CHEN introduced her academic research work in University of Rochester, focusing on her latest research achievement of nonparametric testing for smooth structural changes in time series and panel data models. In the Q & A session, CHEN answered various kinds of questions proposed by participants patiently. 

It is learned thatSCUT Overseas Outstanding Talents and Scholars Forum was initiated in November of 2015, aiming at inviting outstanding talents to give a lecture focusing oninternational scientific frontier, enhancing international communication and cooperation and promoting mutual development of both sides.
