The 10th “Dream of Youth” cultural festival closing ceremony of School of Economics and Commerce was launched in Academic Lecture Hall of Higher Education Mega Center Campus, South China University of Technology on June 16. Professor WANG Renzeng, executive dean of SEC, Professor TIAN Qiusheng, deputy dean of SEC, YANG Yiren, deputy party secretary, along with thousands of teachers and students took part in this ceremony.
Professor Wang made a speech for the ceremony. He pointed out that cultural festival grew with students, witnessed students’ youth time, and he hoped that students could firmly held socialist core values and made great contributions to social progress and people's well-being.
The theme of the party was “YUAN”, which bore the meanings as eagle, home, sailing and good wishes in Chinese. The party had four parts, adhering to the profound meaning of the theme respectively. Students showed excellent performance at stage, expressing their love and passion for SCUT and SEC. Students from class two of international trade and business major, giving the dance Forever Us, students in class three of finance major sang a classic song Yesterday Once More etc.. SEC dance team wished graduate students with bright futures and realized their dreams with graceful dance. The graduation party left a good memory for graduate students.
