报告人简介：

程柯教授目前担任哥伦比亚大学Alan L. Kaganov生物医学工程讲席教授。同时担任美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）生物材料和生物界面基金评审专家组主席。在此之前，担任北卡大学教堂山分校-北卡州立大学兰道尔·特瑞杰出讲席教授，教务长办公室分管交叉学科的执行主任。程教授的主要研究领域是再生医学，药物递送和细胞外囊泡。他是美国生物医学工程学会（BMES）会士，国际医学与生物工程学院（IAMBE）会士，美国医学与生物工程学院（AIMBE）会士，和美国心脏病协会（AHA）会士。他创立的生物技术公司目前正在积极开发细胞外囊泡在心肺组织再生和修复，癌症治疗和精确给药等领域的应用。他是美国细胞外囊泡协会（American Association of Extracellular Vesicles）共同创始人，爱思唯尔出版集团《细胞外囊泡（Extracellular Vesicle）》杂志主编，《生物活性材料（Bioactive Materials）》杂志副主编。程柯教授入选科睿唯安2023年度“全球高被引科学家”名单。

报告摘要：

Exosomes are extracellular vesicles produced by all cells and they carry nucleic acids, proteins, lipids and metabolites. They are mediators of near and long-distance intercellular communication in health and disease, impacting various aspects of cell biology. Additionally, exosomes can be engineered to deliver diverse therapeutic payloads, with the ability to direct their delivery to a desired target. This lecture will focus on lung spheroid cell-derived exosomes and bioengineered exosomes in the setting of heart and lung repair, while mentioning the mechanisms of exosomes and their future clinical applications.
