The Digital Supply Chain Management and Decision Making Laboratory, South China University of Technology was built in 2022 relying on the School of Business Administration. It is the third key laboratory of philosophy and social sciences of Guangdong universities constructed by SCUT, and the second key laboratory of philosophy and social sciences of Guangdong universities constructed by the school.
The laboratory focuses on major theoretical and practical issues in the development and construction of digital supply chain in China and Guangdong Province, comprehensively applies management science and engineering, control science and engineering, computer science and technology, software engineering and other disciplines to carry out cross-cutting cooperative research, focusing on supply chain data analysis and visualization, data-driven supply chain intelligent decision-making, digital supply chain integration and innovation Digital supply chain financial innovation and other characteristic directions.
The laboratory is headed by Professor Zhong Yuanguang, and has more than 20 core members from the School of Business Administration, Shien-ming WU School of Intelligent Engineering, School of Mathematics, and School of Computer Science & Engineering, including 12 professors, 8 associate professors and assistant professors, 3 postdoctoral students and 15 doctoral students. In the past five years, the core members of the laboratory have published more than 10 academic papers in UTD24 international top journals including Management Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and have undertaken more than 20 research projects sponsored by National Social Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation, National Science and Technology Major Project, etc., and more than 10 consultative projects sponsored by enterprises, thus It has laid a solid research foundation in digital supply chain management and decision-making.
