The Research Center for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (hereinafter referred to as “the Center”) was established in 2006 and is an important part of the New Industrialization Research Institute of South China University of Technology. There are six researchers in the Center, among them there is one researcher holding the senior professional title and one holding the associate professional title, and four holding PhD degrees. The research areas of the Center mainly focuses on: international logistics management, product R&D management in supply chain environment, reverse logistics, supply chain coordination mechanism, etc. In the past three years, the researchers of the Center have published 32 academic papers; hosted and participated in seven national and local and enterprise sponsored projects, with research funding of more than 800,000 yuan; in addition, three monographs are published as well.
The Center has set its goal to establish itself into one of the most influential platforms in the field of logistics and supply chain management based on the Pearl River Delta, facing the country and the world. Literally speaking, it aims to promote the construction of disciplines and majors in the field of logistics and supply chain management; cultivate high-level scientific research personnel and outstanding professional talents; produce high-level scientific research results; promote international and domestic cooperation in related fields; and serve the society by conducting consulting projects assigned by government departments and enterprises.
