Research Center for Enterprise Information and Knowledge Management

The Research Center for Enterprise Information and Knowledge Management was established in October 2006. Wang Zhongtuo, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, served as the first Director. The research center includes two professors and three associate professors.

The Center's mission is to promote the development and application of knowledge management, the theories and tools of knowledge management and decision-making and researches on how the theories are put into practice in South China. The research topics are meant to be theoretical and practical, which are raised based on the innovative practices in South China as well as popular issues in knowledge management and decision-making. The current research interests include: knowledge mining models and methods under the big data, knowledge management theory and methods in the mobile environment, the method of knowledge sharing and innovation in the Internet age.

The research center has received funding for several big projects, four from the National Natural Science Fund, one from the National Social Science Fund, three from the National Natural Science Fund Special Programs and nearly twenty provincial and ministerial research projects. More than 100 papers have been published in renowned journals home and abroad. We also hosted the 5th Management Science and Engineering Forum, the 15th Asia-Pacific Decision Sciences Institute, the 4th Asia-Pacific International Conference on Knowledge Management, the 9th International Symposium on Knowledge and Systems Sciences, and other international conferences.
