报告摘要:
Methodology encompasses the organizing principles in science and engineering research, aiming to uncover novel theoretical and experimental insights. The category of science and engineering is described, and the progress of modern science and engineering is introduced. Nobel Prize awards the most advanced findings in theories and experiments. The driving force to study the research topic by the Nobel laureates is introduced.
Quality of research works is important. Classification of research works is introduced and evaluation of research quality is discussed. Impact factor (IF) is introduced to evaluate the quality of research results and the current situation of IF is discussed.
Research logic, induction, and deduction are detailed. Modern scientific and engineering research adopts a style where topics induced by theory are validated through experimental deduction. However, there are instances of fraudulent and unethical research. It's essential to highlight these not to promote misconduct but to educate students. The research works have been supported by computers. The researcher who uses a computer sometimes falls into a pitfall. The researcher should overcome the trap of the computer ear to obtain advanced research results for the future.

Kiyoshi Yokogawa,博士、日本产业技术综合研究所教授,氢脆领域的国际顶级专家,取得了一系列处于国际领先水平的研究成果:首次发现氢致微裂纹起源于应变诱导马氏体富集区和奥氏体富集区的边界,而非传统认为的应变诱导马氏体,为揭示亚稳态奥氏体不锈钢的氢脆机理奠定了重要基础;基于分子动力学,建立了高压氢气环境中Ni基金属材料的塑性变形分析模型;首次发现石墨化碳纳米结构的环状超结构和5 圆环原子图像,揭示了碳纳米纤维的结构。多次应邀到美国、德国、韩国讲学。在国际刊物发表高水平论文110余篇,获授权专利12项(其中美国专利3项,日本专利9项),出版相关专著6本。获日本金属学会突出贡献奖、韩国机械学会突出贡献奖。
