讲座摘要:

Dust explosion is an explosive phenomenon triggered by combustible dust under specific conditions. When combustible dust mixes with oxygen in the air within a certain concentration range and encounters ignition sources such as open flames, static sparks, or hot surfaces, a dust explosion can occur. Dust explosions are characterized by rapid explosion pressure waves, flames, and thermal radiation, which can lead to casualties, equipment damage, and fire propagation. Therefore, a series of explosion prevention measures need to be implemented. This series of lectures elaborates on the intrinsic safety design of chemical processes from three aspects:

1) Basic principle of dust explosion

2) Key elements of dust explosion

3) The Role of Safety Management System and Safety Culture in Preventing and Mitigating dust explosion 

粉尘爆炸是一种由可燃粉尘在特定条件下引发的爆炸现象。当可燃粉尘与空气中的氧气混合到一定浓度范围内,遇到明火、静电火花、高温表面等点火源时,就可能发生粉尘爆炸。粉尘爆炸具有迅猛的爆炸压力波、火焰和热辐射,可能导致人员伤亡、设备损坏以及火灾蔓延。因此需要采取一系列的防爆措施本次系列讲座从个方面对化工过程粉尘爆炸原理及防爆措施相关内容展开阐述:

1)粉尘爆炸的基本原理

2)粉尘爆炸的关键要素

3安全管理系统和安全文化在预防和缓解粉尘爆炸中的作用

主讲人简介:

Dr. Paul Amyotte is a distinguished research professor & Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science at Dalhousie University (Canada) where he held the C.D. Howe Chair in Process safety from 2011-2020. Professor Amyotte is an internationally renowned expert in process safety. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, and is a past-president of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering and Engineers Canada. Professor Amyotte is the current editor of the Journal of Loss Prevention in the Process Industries. He has an extensive record of authorship, with six books, nine book chapters and over 350 papers published in peer-reviewed journals or international conferences. He has presented invited plenary lectures at symposia in the United States, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Poland, Qatar, Malaysia, etc. Prof. Amyotte has consulted on numerous industrial projects involving hazard analysis, incident investigation, and material explosibility. His research and practice in the fields of process safety have included the provision of expert reviews and testimony on behalf of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences (NAS), the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and the U.S. Chemical Safety Board (CSB). With outstanding and continuous contributions in the field of process safety education, research, and service activities, he has won many awards such as the Cyberski Medal of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Trevor Kletz Excellence Award of Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center, and the Process Safety Management Award of the Canadian Society for Chemical Engineering.

Paul Amyotte博士是加拿大达尔豪斯大学过程工程与应用科学系杰出研究教授和化学工程教授,并在2011-2020担任C.D.
