Position: Senior Research Engineer - Research
Report to: Manager, Research
Location: Suzhou
Summary
Leading technology research in support of product line business and maintaining industry technology leadership position and attaining overall company objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Monitor novel Non-Vapor-Compression technology and its trends In HVAC and adjacent industry;
2. Analyze technology landscape of each NVC technology;
3. Collaborate w/ external organization together to validate feasibility of concept;
4. Set-up modeling for HVAC system and optimize through simulation.
5. Identify opportunity or concept for best integrated system solution.
6. Build system prototype to calibrate simulation result and validate concept in Psychrometric lab.
7. Responsible for optimization of hardware along with summary and presentation of results.
8. Support expansion and globalization of research to maintain worldwide leadership in integrated system solution technology.
9. Support a team of engineers and technicians to develop pantry technologies for future new products.
Requirements
1. Must have at least 3 years project experience in Non-Vapor-Compression technology research for HVAC or Cryogenics industry (NVC technologies include but not limited to Magnetocaloric, Thermal Acoustic, Membrane Heat Pump, adsorption Heat Pump, Thermal-Elastic, Thermal-Electric).
2. Must have strong HVAC background with theoretical and practical knowledge in design and modeling of electromechanical machinery, in fluid flow, and heat transfer (master degree or above).
3. Must have proficiency with virtual tool of modeling and simulation for working on technology.
4. Must have good English communication both oral and written.
5. Proficient in Visual Basic and related computational techniques and languages is a plus.
