报告人简介:
Dr Yang Yaowen is currently an Associate Professor and Associate Chair of School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His research interests include smart materials for structural health monitoring (SHM), vibration control and energy harvesting, and uncertainty analysis of structural systems. Over the years, Dr Yang has received more than S$4M research fund from funding agencies and industry, and published 1 book, 3 monographs and over 70 SCI journal and 100 conference papers. He serves as an editorial board member of a few international journals and a member of ASME technical committee on energy harvesting.
报告摘要:
Small energy harvesting for powering wireless sensors has received intensive research attention in the recent years. This talk introduces the research work carried out in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, focusing on vibration and small wind energy harvesting using piezoelectric materials. Issues regarding piezoelectric energy harvesting will be discussed, including modelling and experiments of vibration and small wind energy harvesting systems. An equivalent circuit modelling technique is first presented, followed by the introduction of a multimodal, a cut-out 2DOF, a nonlinear harvester and various issues in galloping wind energy harvesting.
