Pasini 教授简介
Damiano Pasini received master degrees in civil engineering and in architectural engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol, U.K, in 2003. After working at the German Aerospace Center in Braunschweig, in 2004 he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering of McGill University, where he is currently Associate Professor. His research deals with biomimetics materials, multiscale mechanics and design optimization of hybrid materials and structures. His current projects focus on cellular materials, as found both in engineering and biology, as well as on multiobjective optimization of laminate composites and compliant structures via plant biomimetics. He is author of about 30 Journal papers and about 50 conference papers; Dr. Pasini is the founder of the McGill Biomimetics Research Group as well as a member of the McGill Institute for Advanced Materials (MIAM), the Center for Applied Research on Polymers and Composites (CREPEC), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
