数学学院各班学生：

由于加拿大西安大略大学（以下简称UWO）与华南理工大学数学学院3+1+1本硕联合培养项目第一阶段的合作已经结束，目前学院正致力于讨论第二阶段的联合培养，较第一阶段联合培养项目，有些许调整，待最终学校与UWO签署正式的联合培养项目协议，将通知给大家。

联合培养的形式是3+1+1：每年的申请主要针对大三的学生，满足以下条件的同学可以申请并准备英语考试：前三年在华工学习，大四一年在UWO，研究生一年在UWO（研究生录取为有条件的录取，具体如下）；

1. 从scut毕业并获得scut学士学位

2.大四这一年在UWO累计均分大于等于80%，没有任何科目低于60%

(a) achievement of an average of 80%or greater in their first three years of study at  SCUT（华工前三年所有课程的平均分达到80分或高于80分，申请的时候，有多少科目的成绩提交多少科目的成绩）

 (b) achievement of an average of at least 82%in all  Mathematics and Statistics courses taken in the first three years of study at  SCUT, and（华工所有的数学和统计课程平均分达到82分，申请的时候，有多少科目的成绩提交多少科目的成绩）

(c)英语要求（申请的时候需提交）：  (1) The  Test of English as a  Foreign Language www.toefl.org (TOEFL). The minimum acceptable score is 86, with no individual score below 20 for the internet based version; 213 for the standard electronic version; or 550 for the paper  and pencil version.（托福不低于86分，单科不低于20分）

(d) The International English Language Testing Service www.ielts.org (IELTS) of

the British Council. The minimum acceptable overall score is 6.5 out of 9 with no individual section less than 6.0.（雅思总分6.5，单科不低于6）

(e) The  Michigan English Language Assessment Battery www.lsa.umich.edu/eli/melab.htm (MELAB) of the University of Michigan. Students must have  at least 80 on each of the sections and an overall score of at least 85.（此项不常见）

(4) The Canadian Academic English Language Assessment www.cael.ca (CAEL Assessment). The minimum acceptable score is an overall score of 60.（此项不常见）

关于申请费：200加元。A  non-refundable fee of $200 (Cdn.) will be levied from each student to cover the registration process in Year 4 courses and the MSc conditional offer.  This fee is in addition to the prescribed tuition and ancillary fees.

关于奖学金与学费等：前20%的学生会有8000加元的奖学金The  Department of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences at UWO will offer financial support  of $8,000 (Cdn.) to the top 20% of students entering the MSc program under this Agreement. All other students who enter the MSc program under this Agreement will receive a  $4,000(Cdn.)  financial support.

Students  are  responsible  for  their  own  expenses  during  their  study  at  UWO, including health insurance, transportation costs, accommodation, and living expenses. Students are required to enroll in the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP). UWO will provide SCUT with information about these expenses.

关于住宿：Students  may  apply  for  on-campus  residence  accommodation  or  may  live  off campus. UWO will provide information on how to apply for on-campus accommodation and information on off-campus housing alternatives.

关于转专业：参加此项目的学生不能转到uwo的其他专业

关于重修补考：在UWO，所有的科目都没有重修和补考的机会。

另外，顺利进入研究生学习阶段的同学，应该保证所修课程累计均分大于等于80分，没有任何科目低于60%，否则将无法获得UWO研究生学位。
