AISMST held "cross-strait academic seminar" to carry out expert dialogue in soft matter field
On June 26, at the invitation of the South China Advanced Institute for Soft Matter Science and Technology (hereinafter referred to as AISMST), CHEN Xinwen, Executive Vice-President of Tsinghua University of Taiwan, and HE Rongming, Director of the Department of Chemical Engineering, together with 11 professors from the Department of Chemical Engineering, visited South China University of Technology to attend the Cross-Strait Symposium. Academician of the American Academy of engineering.CHENG Zhengdi,Honorary Dean of AISMST, delivered the opening speech.

In his speech, CHENG Zhengdi said that the first cross-strait academic seminar was aimed at promoting cooperation and exchanges between scholars on both sides of the Strait in the field of soft materials and promoting the common development of scientific research on both sides of the Strait. Next, we hope that we can also collide with students in cross-strait exchanges.
Subsequently, He Rongming, chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University in Taiwan, introduced the subject establishment and faculty of Tsinghua University and the Department of Chemical Engineering in Taiwan. It is reported that Taiwan's Tsinghua University has nine colleges, namely, science, engineering, atomic sciences, humanities and society, life sciences, electrical information, science and technology management, bamboo teacher education and art. The Department of Chemical Engineering is affiliated with the Institute of Technology. There are 24 full-time teachers in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University, Taiwan, with 223 undergraduate students, 145 master's students and 107 doctoral students.

Report on cross-strait academic seminar
At the symposium, scholars from the Institute of Soft Material Research and the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University in Taiwan made a series of projects entitled Phase diagrams and thermoelectric materials, Early attempts to explore active polymerization of actins, Nanostructured catalysts for water electrolysis, Drug release, Molecular topology-induced unconventional nanostructures P OSS-based Giant Surfactants,A Simple Gas-Phase Synthesis Catalyst for Nano-Hybridization,Dendritic Molecular Template Mesophases and Bionic Structures,Structurally Controlled Supramolecular Polymers,Biomimetic Polymer Materials and Applications, Microscopic Theory of Coupled Kinetics Microstructure Binary Mixtures, Chemical System Engineering Research Fifteen reports on time-dependent mechanical behavior of hard and self-healing amphoteric electrolyte hydrogels, photoelectric polymers and molecular machinery, polymer reactions and applications, structure, kinetics and applications of molecular cluster polymer hybrid materials, covering chemistry, physics, materials, and soft matter interdisciplinary disciplines Engineering and other scientific fields. The seminar attracted many teachers and students from South China University of Technology, and achieved good results and effects.
Visiting the experimental building of the Institute
After the meeting, visiting researchers from the Department of chemical engineering of National Tsinghua University visited the experimental building of the Institute. More than 10,000 square meters of the building, completed in nine months, international management, not simple visiting scholars on the speed of construction of the experimental building, the quality of high praise.
