2. Technology and Engineering of Starch Sugaring
3. Starch Fine Chemical Engineering
Cultivation Mode
Advisory system is applied in this doctoral program. Doctoral students should draw up a working program with the instruction of their supervisors in the first two weeks after registration. Students are supposed to participate in the medium term assessment according to Doctor Degree Candidate Medium-Term Assessment Method of South China University of Technology and complete the required social practices before the end of the third semester.
Dissertation
Doctoral students should finish their thesis proposals in the third semester with a literature review of at least 100 pieces. Before applying for Thesis Defense, graduates are required to publish at least three academic papers (recruited papers are accepted) related to the field of learning with the students signed as the first authors, two of which should be published in SCI index source journals or one of which published in the second sector of mid-sector or above of JCR index source journals. Papers published in international journals, Chinese journals recruited in SCI, SCIE and EI, Food and Fermentation Industry, Food Science, Food Industry Science and Technology, Nutrition Sinica, Food and Oil Sinica, China Beet Sugar Industry, A Guide to the Core Journals of Science & Technologies in Foreign Countries are also accepted (in terms of the edition when the paper is published; but papers published in the supplementary or special issues of the above journals are not accepted). Thesis defense will be arranged according to Rules for the Implementation of Graduation Degrees of South China University of Technology and Regulations of the Applications for Thesis Defense of South China University of Technology on the completion of theses.
