Signing comprehensive cooperation agreement with Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. Zhaoqing

On June 26th, the signing ceremony of comprehensive cooperation agreement between SCUT and Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. Zhaoqing was held in south campus of SCUT, which was about establishing Student Practice Base. The leaders from Zhaoqing scientific and technological bureau, Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. Zhaoqing, Guangxin foreign trade group Co., Ltd., related university departments and School of Bioscience and Bioengineering attended this ceremony. Li Lin, vice principal of SCUT, and Guan Peng, vice mayor of Zhaoqing municipal government, gave lectures in the ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Li Lin warmly welcomed every guest, and expressed his appreciation to the people who supported the construction and development of SCUT, including Zhaoqing municipal government, Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc.， Guangxin foreign trade group Co., Ltd，. He mentioned that the strong foundation of SCUT and Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. created this opportunity to cooperate. On the basis of scientific research cooperation and talents exchange, SCUT and Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. are going to conduct comprehensive cooperation for constructing off-campus practice base, which is a strong-strong alliance. Through signing the cooperation agreement, it promotes the transformation of the excellent research progress of SCUT, and improves the technology development of the company on one hand. Furthermore, it can form alliance between product and research, so that we can solve the key problem in the production and construct technological platform to drive the development of fermentation engineering and bio-chemical industry in Guangdong province or even the whole country on the other.

The cooperation was highly emphasized by Zhaoqing municipal government. Vice mayor Guang Peng hopes to strengthen the cooperation with SCUT for attracting more talents and technology to the development of Zhaoqing city. In the ceremony, vice principal Li Lin and the Leader from Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. Zhaoqing signed comprehensive cooperation agreement. Thus, both parties will cooperate in the aspects of engineering technology, energy saving and emission reduction, product line rebuilt, talents culture and so on. In the end, the leader from Student Affair office awarded the plaque of innovative practice base of SCUT to Star Lake Bioscience Co., Inc. Zhaoqing. After the ceremony, guests visited the laboratories of School of bioscience and bioengineering.
