SCUT and BGI-Shenzhen Makes Joint Efforts to Build Students Practice Base

On May 8th, QIU Xueqing, vice president of SCUT, and related leaders went to BGI-Shenzhen to sign a cooperation agreement on building Student Practice Base. Also, they did a survey about Joint Training talents for gene research.


Members from SCUT were warmly welcome by BGI-Shenzhen. Based on the principle of supporting each other and working for mutual benefit, SCUT and BGI-Shenzhen reached several agreements on building Students Practice Base off campus. According to the agreement, excellent students from School of Bioscience and Bioengineering, SCUT, can take part in researches and do graduation practice in BGI. The leader of School said that BGI is one of the top international Genomics institutes, and the establishment of Students Practice Base off campus would be beneficial in cultivating creative talents.


In that day, vice president visited students working or studying in BGI, and hoped them to learn more professional knowledge, improve abilities and fight for their goals.
