Recently, “A large-scale screen for coding variants predisposing to psoriasis”, co-finished by Anhui Medical University, Shenzhen Huada Gene Research Institute and SCUT, and written by JIN Xin, doctoral candidate majoring in microbiology from grade 2011, School of Biological Science and Engineering as the co-author, was published in Nature Genetics, the top international academic journal.

It is said that since the founding of the “SCUT-Huada” genomic science innovation class in March, 2009, its students have made great achievements in scientific research, with 49 of them publishing 40 academic papers in top international academic journals like Nature, Science, Cell and The New England Journal of Medicine as the co-authors or by-liners.

JIN Xin is the first author of the paper and the project leader of Huada gene research institute. As one of the first group of students in “SCUT-Huada” genomic science innovation class, he published two papers, “50 full Exon sequencing reveals humanity's high altitude adaptation mechanism” and “Germline gene de novo mutations associated with autism” in the international top academic journals Science and Cell as the co author.
