The Extreme Manufacturing Research Center (EMRC) endeavors to address China's urgent need to develop high-end, smart and digitalized manufacturing. By targeting the various limits in current advanced manufacturing technologies, the Center seeks to make breakthroughs in key and core technologies involving the process, materials, design and equipment for extreme manufacturing.

The Safe Intelligent Robot Research Center (SIRRC) focuses on safe, reliable, and explainable intelligent robot techniques to improve the safety, reliability, and human-robot mutual trust when robots are working in dynamic, time-varying, and unstructured environments.

The Smart Healthcare and Assistive Device Research Center focuses on the research and development of intelligent diagnosis, treatment, assistance, and rehabilitation technologies through the deep integration of robotics, artificial intelligence, digital twins, new materials, and other interdisciplinary fields.

Towards the development of “low-carbon, intelligent, networked, and shared” vehicles in different application scenarios in the future, the Research Center of Intelligent Connected Vehicles (RCICV) has been carrying out theoretical and technical research in cutting-edge fields such as advanced electric drive and touchless charging, integration and optimization of multi-source energy system,
