Founded in 2001 with the approval of Guangdong Science and Technology Department, the lab mainly researches on high-functional rubber plastic materials, organic/inorganic nano composite materials, polymer photoelectric materials and devices, and polymer functional materials etc. The lab boosts a high-level academic team with the quality of solidarity and innovation, and the capacity for constant research and development. Currently there is a staff of 40 working in the lab, including 2 academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences (Engineering), 1 national distinguished young scholars fund winner, 1 winner of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and 1 Special Professor of the Cheung Kong Scholar Program.
