On Dec 9, 2010 table tennis tournament between teachers and students in the School of Materials Science and Engineering SCUT was held in west stadium table tennis court. This tournament is a teacher-student event of communication sponsored every year by the union of material college teachers.There are the teams who participated in the game: men's staff team 1 and team 2, men's undergraduate team, men's graduate team, women's staff team, women's undergraduate team and women's graduate team. The game rules are the same to the rules of table tennis team game in Olympic Games .
After three hours the fierce competition, the man staff team 1 won the championship and team 2 was runner-up,while the men's undergraduate team and graduate team also were the third place. Women's graduate team won the championship among the women's team. During the competition, the teachers and students were friendly exchanged ideas.
The table tennis game got our teachers' and students' response and high praises.It not only enriched the campus culture life,but also promoted the communication between teacher and student. What's more, it showed the spirit of cooperation of the teachers and students .
