School of Economics and Finance

School of Economics and Finance is located in the university town campus. The school has a comprehensive discipline system and talent training system, including doctoral programs and master programs in Applied Economics, MBA programs in Finance, Master programs in Finance, Master programs in International Business, and Master programs in Engineering Management. The school consists of departments of Economics, Finance, International Economics and Trade, and Quantitative Economics. There is one chief expert of major projects of The National Social Science Fund, one Expert with Outstanding Contribution of the Ministry of Domestic Trade (now the Ministry of Commerce), one New Century Excellent Talent of the Ministry of Education, and two talents of Guangdong Provincial Talent Plan.

There are 69 full-time teachers, including 16 professors and 33 associate professors. Professor Song Hai

Honorary Dean of School of Economics and Finance, professor and doctoral supervisor. Dean of School of Economics and Commerce, South China University of Technology from 2004 to 2018; He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee. He was vice Governor of Guangdong Province, deputy secretary-general of the CPPCC National Committee, and Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee of China Civil Construction Committee. He has long been engaged in theoretical research and management of the economy, finance, and public administration.

Professor Ba Shusong

Adjunct Professor, PhD supervisor, School of Economics and Finance, Managing Director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Chief China Economist and Chief Economist of China Banking Association. He is an expert enjoying the special allowance of The State Council and has served as a group study lecturer of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

Professor Wang Renzeng

Professor and PhD supervisor of School of Economics and Finance, Director of China Financial Market Research Center, former Executive Dean of School of Economics and Commerce. He holds two PhDs in finance from The University of Surrey and economics from the Renmin University of China and has many years of overseas study and work experience. He was awarded Expert with Outstanding Contribution by the Ministry of Domestic Trade (now the Ministry of Commerce) and the Five-one Project Award by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Professor Tian Qiusheng

Professor of School of Economics and Finance, PhD tutor, former vice dean of the School of Economics and Commerce, counsellor of Guangdong Provincial People's Government, vice president of Guangdong Federation of Financial Think Tanks, invited economist of China Economic Prosperity Center, National Bureau of Statistics.

Professor Sun Jianqiang

Professor, PhD supervisor, vice Dean, School of Economics and Finance. Chief expert of major Projects of the national Social Science Foundation. Academic member of Guangdong Institute of Finance. Director, Cross-border Financial Innovation Research Center.

Professor Xu feng

Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, Deputy Dean, School of Economics and Finance, Director of Financial Engineering Research Center. He focuses on green finance, technology finance, and FinTech.

3 years or more work experience after graduation from university (bachelor degree certificate before September 1, 2018);

Those with master's or doctor's degree and 2 years or more working experience (master's or doctor's degree before September 1, 2019);

Those who have graduated from higher vocational colleges recognized by the state, have 5 years or more working experience (obtained the higher vocational diploma before September 1, 2016), and have reached the same educational level as university graduates (excluding undergraduate graduates); Those who have outstanding work performance (relevant certificates and performance reports), etc.
