The outstanding personalities of various circles, who were also the student of School of Economics and Commerce (shorted for SEC below) in the past, came together in one place, and they shared fun together. On the morning of Nov. 15, the alumni sodality of SEC was held solemnly at the Round Auditorium of B10 Building. The main leaders, the teacher representatives of SEC and the alumni of SEC who were going to celebrate the 63^th school anniversary of SCUT attended the sodality.

The students who graduated from SEC  have obtained extraordinary achievement. Some of them have been the administrative staff of large scale foreign-owned enterprises, and some of them are serving the government and banks. All of them are repaying our country and the society with the ability that they got in the SEC.

Liu Xiangfu, the Vice-Secretary of EC School, made the plain address which began the alumni sodality. And after that, Qi Ming, the dean of EC School, introduced the circumstance of the school. He mainly introduced the institutional organization, discipline construction, personnel training, teaching staff, scientific research working, academic exchange, facility resources, and the student activities. And the personnel training and scientific research working were the most important parts.

Wu Yechun, the secretary of SEC, expressed his ideas about the background, significance and the forms of activity of alumni sodality. And he also delivered his plan to promote the work of alumni sodality with the effort from both of the EC School and the alumni. He expected that everyone can make their efforts to build the alumni network better.

After the discussion, the alumni, the leaders, and teachers came to Chinese Restaurant of Center for International Academic Exchanges to have lunch together. They exchange their ideas and experiences. And the alumni, who were masters of engineering in 2005, put forward the conception that the alumni would set scholarship and financial aid.

The alumni sodality witnessed the development history of SECand the students. With the starting point of the alumni sodality, we will write a new chapter of SEC.
