Guangzhou, April 9 – A delegation from Shien-Ming Wu School of Intelligent Engineering visited Digital Guangdong Company Limited to strengthen industry-academia ties and explore career development opportunities. Led by School Party Secretary Zhang Zheng, the group included faculty members and graduate student representatives.

During the visit, delegates toured Guangdong’s Digital Government Operations Center, observing provincial service platforms including Guangdong’s SAC (粤省事), GDTB (粤商通), GDGov (粤政易), and the Government Service Network in operational environments. Students gained firsthand insights into how digital technologies streamline public services.

Substantive discussions followed at a roundtable meeting where both parties explored collaboration pathways. Digital Guangdong Deputy General Manager Xu Yanlin outlined the company’s technological innovations, while Secretary Zhang Zheng presented the School’s academic programs and industry partnership approaches. Professors Huang Zhicong and Weng Zhenyu further detailed the School’s research capabilities and interdisciplinary development initiatives.

The dialogue deepened during an interactive session where students raised questions about technology applications in professional settings. Digital Guangdong experts including Chen Jianfei and Wang Bo provided practical career guidance based on industry trends and workplace requirements.

Moving forward, both institutions committed to enhancing cooperation through joint research projects, talent development programs, and knowledge-sharing events. This partnership aims to bridge academic training with industry needs while contributing to digital governance advancement.
